— Participants are Strongly encouraged to purchase bees as soon as possible. Many places would like deposits before March 15th

Dan has been keeping bees for 8 years. He is entering his 15th year as a high school teacher with dual certificates to teach all subjects of Science and Agriculture. Dan is a 5th generation farmer with experience growing commercial crops, livestock, bees, orchards and maple sugar. He has also taught at Lorado Taft field campus as part of the outdoor education masters program, is a master naturalist for the University of Illinois and is part of Tom Brown Jr.’s tracker school apprentice program.
President of Stateline beekeepers association. Queen bee breeder and Long time beekeeper. Jeff is also the instructor for the byron forest preserve’s monthly beekeeping workshops that are on the second Sunday of the month, from 2 to 4 and follow the beekeepers year.
